I've never actively scammed or took part in an existing scam. I have, in the past, asked for a selling to show me a weapon outside so I can see it equipped. However, I've made sure to let them know I'm sorry for taking their time if I decide I didn't like the skin.

To a certain degree. I would (and have) whisper to a new player selling a Req9 Chaos Axe for cheap that it's a lot more than his quoted price. If he/she asks me how much, I would give my best estimation but ask him to not quote me on it. On the other hand, if the margin of the weapon price and the quoted price was much less, then, sure, I'd take advantage of it. In my case, that item would usually be a keeper, not something I'd sell back for profit.

Not so sure what this one means. If it means "are some people inevitable victims" then, yes. If it means "does karma bite you in the ass" then, sometimes. There are those few that get away with their "unjust", "unacceptable", or any "un-" actions.

In short, I don't owe anyone respect. The long answer is not necessary. I do think, however, that I owe it to my piers to be courteous.

Mostly immature. There are some that accept it because they've accepted the fact that it's expected.

Unacceptable by the game rules. There really can't be anything else said to this...

I don't usually buy items from people. As for selling, I usually wait till someone needs something I have and whisper an offer.

Tips: I'll pay the usual price of the run.
Thanking: "thank you!"
Insult: Once. It was a Drok's run a long time ago... 2005. Someone was advertising that he/she was a pro runner and guaranteed a successful run. I joined and six tries later, I left. He asked me why I left and I replied "I'm sorry, you were full of yourself and you just suck"
Insults in general: Yes. I got scammed 1.5k on a Drok's run (again, 2005) once because I agreed to pay half to someone claiming to be from ANet. I threw etiquette out the window, needless to say.

Always a "hey". Always a "thank you".

Once. It was towards the end of a Norn Rep run (in the area where the smoke phantoms appear leading to the six bosses). I was playing as an HB monk and had to leave to take care of an urgent appointment. I asked the others if I could stay on and they agreed. So I '/resign'ed and left my character on.

Yes, yes and no. I've noticed for some reason, saying "GG" leads to "RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO you" from the defeated team...

A lot of things aren't necessary. It's immature. But who acts mature 100% of there life (even counting after they have a family)? Very, very few.

General immature behaviour to the wrong crowd. People calling each other "noobs". The word just sounds bad :/ Lack of courtesy among people. Etc...

- Is there a time and place to knowingly scam the unknowing or unprepared?
Unless breaking EULA, yes, there is.
- Is there a difference between taking advantage of someone's ignorance and scamming? (I.e. someone selling an item for significantly less than it's worth).
Yes. There is no excuse for ignorance.
- Do some players "just have it coming?"
Oh yeah, they do.
- Do you think people owe it to most other people to show them respect?
Respect for what? Respect is earned, not given.
- Is belittling others in the "spirit of the game" acceptable or immature?
Immature.
- Are third-party methods of getting ahead acceptable or fair? (I.e. buying gold, afk-macroing drinking)
All is fair until you get caught.
- Do you needlessly and repeatedly spam messages in local chat? (wtb cloth x10 in 3 seconds)
No, as I find it annoying.
- If someone is doing a CoF (or other) run for tips, are you the type of person to not even say thanks, not tip, and just get your reward? Or sometimes worse, do you add insult to the injury and only tip a meagre 100 gold?
It depends on person running. If I find him nice, I'll pay more then usual runners charge. If he is an idiot he won't get a thanks from me.
- With little regard for the other people in a party, do you leave missions/quests/etc.? Without saying anything?
In PUGs - yes. In 2 cases: 1) Real life > GW. 2) Group in idiots bound to fail.
In Guild/Ally group - no.
- Do you leech in PvP or PvE and just not give a damn?
Like I have time for that...
- Do you say please and thank you? Or GG?
Yes, I do.
- Is trash talking necessary? Is it generally immature?
Immature.

- Is there a time and place to knowingly scam the unknowing or unprepared?
No
- Is there a difference between taking advantage of someone's ignorance and scamming? (I.e. someone selling an item for significantly less than it's worth).
I do think there's a difference. It's a matter of degrees. Both are a lowly thing to do, the former a lot more lowly.
- Do some players "just have it coming?"
I'm not a judge/jury/executioner type. If people have something coming, it's ANet's job to give it to them.
- Do you think people owe it to most other people to show them respect?
Isn't that one of the cornerstones of civilized society? Some people obviously don't take that sentiment online with them. I do.
- Is belittling others in the "spirit of the game" acceptable or immature?
Immature.
- Are third-party methods of getting ahead acceptable or fair? (I.e. buying gold, afk-macroing drinking)
I don't really care in the context of Guild Wars. Nothing anyone does in this game affects me in a manner I find significant. Let ANet sort this out.
Etiquette:
- Do you needlessly and repeatedly spam messages in local chat? (wtb cloth x10 in 3 seconds)
Never have and never will.
- If someone is doing a CoF (or other) run for tips, are you the type of person to not even say thanks, not tip, and just get your reward? Or sometimes worse, do you add insult to the injury and only tip a meagre 100 gold?
I never had a run that wasn't by a friend or guildie and those I can count of one hand. I'll never pay someone to play the game for me.
- With little regard for the other people in a party, do you leave missions/quests/etc.? Without saying anything?
I'd like to say I never have and never will, but I did leave a game recently that got bogged down into pointless arguing. I gave fair warning though that I wasn't going to stand and watch for more than another 5 minutes.
- Do you leech in PvP or PvE and just not give a damn?
No.
- Do you say please and thank you? Or GG?
Absolutely.
- Is trash talking necessary? Is it generally immature?
I guess it's necessary for some. Not me.

I treat people in game the same I treat them in real life.
I wouldn't steal, cheat, or lie in real life, but I'd certainly call someone an idiot and laugh at them.
I have manners, (please, thank you, sorry, you're welcome, etc) and that's applied furthermore in game.
On second thought...I don't know about that....
